TODAY’S THE DAY!
You should know that every time I say that ^ ^, I say it in my head just like Peach from Finding Nemo, so you should, too.
Seventeen months ago, I started this journey. Actually, if you want to get technical, it was earlier than that when I started writing PLUS ONE (and if you want to get really technical, you could say I started this journey the first time I wrote a complete story, but I digress). Seventeen months ago, I submitted my completed novella to three romance e-publishers I’d had my eye on for a while. And then I waited.
And waited.
And waited some more.
It seems like that’s what this has been–one big waiting game with a few pit-stops along the way. And maybe that’s why this–today–feels so surreal. I can’t believe that after nearly a year and a half, my book’s here.
IT’S HERE OMG.
Olivia hates the singles scene, so when her best guy friend, Ian, offers to be her plus one to a series of weddings she has to attend, she agrees. Although she doesn’t want to complicate their lifelong friendship, she can’t pass up the chance to have a steady date without the dating drama. What she doesn’t expect is to now find Ian so incredibly sexy.
When Ian sees his old friend Olivia dolled up for wedding #1, the boyhood crush he once nurtured transforms into smoldering attraction. It doesn’t take long for their no-strings arrangement to turn physical. But as Olivia’s desire to stay “just friends” becomes clear, Ian’s feelings are deepening. In the time they have together, how will Ian convince Olivia that one plus one can make for a lifelong pair?

And what’s that? You want another excerpt? Well, okay.
I know Mondays usually suck. But, hey, my book came out, so it sucks a little less because we’re celebrating! I got cupcakes this weekend and went out to lunch today, but since you all weren’t there, how about some giveaways? Enter one or two or all of them! Good luck!
@Amy – Thanks, Amy! That’s one of my fave, too. Plus seeing the wedding dress!
@Heather – Wedding cake is my FAVE!!
@BookLady – That’s one of my favorite, too! Love seeing the different styles.
@Jenn – Thank you! <3 Those are my faves, too. (are you seeing a pattern here?)
@Kassiah – Thank you, pretty. <3
@MrsAC – Yes, all of that! You’re in my brain. 🙂
@bn100 – Thank you! I love seeing those, too, and all the unique things people come up with.
@Stella – Thank you so much! I’m glad you enjoyed it! Brb, sending you an Ian…
Congratulations on the release of Plus One! I have to tell you I just devoured it (it’s almost 2 am here), and wow. I LOVED it! Loved Livvy and Ian, oh yes, Ian, could you send one my way? He is dreamy *sighs* I’m still in a daze but just had to let you know how much I enjoyed reading your story and hope you celebrated in style: with some champagne and delicious dessert! 😉
As for weddings, I like to dress up, do my make up, pick a dress and watch the love between the bride and groom. But just like Olivia I hate attending weddings alone. If only I had my Ian… lol 😉
Happy release! The decorations
I’m so freaking happy for you. It’s so well deserved and you’ve worked your ass off for this.
My fav. part about wedding? Oh, man. Toasts? Cake? The dress? Dancing? I love it all!
Congrats again, lovely. Love you!
-Meg
Congratulations, pretty!
Congrats, hun! I’ve always been a fan of you and your pretty words so I’m so glad that your words are out there for everyone to enjoy.
My favorite thing about wedding would be the wedding dress (duh) and watching the bride and groom do their first dance as man and wife. Always tears me up.
Congratulations on the publication of Plus One! It sounds like a wonderful story. I enjoyed the excerpt and have put it on my TBR list.
My favorite thing about weddings is seeing the happy bride walking down the aisle in her beautiful wedding gown.
Ooh, Heather, I like that one. Cake. How could I forget about cake? And someone else is paying for it!
I’m gonna go for the typical fat girl answer & say the food, lol. I love wedding food =D
Congratulations on your new release! I love the cover of the book. I am a reader only but love seeing how exciting it is for authors with not only new releases but debut books. I think the book sounds very fun and will add it to my TBR list! What do I love most about weddings? Getting dressed up and watching two people in love start the rest of their life! I hope you have many sales!
